Sc Johnson - Ruined grout in shower
We used scrubbing bubbles for years in shower. It literally ate the grout away.
We thought some of the grout areas had mold but when sprayed with a mixture of water and bleach, it remained black. My husband took a flashlight and toothpick and was going to scratch the surface a bit. There was no surface to scratch. The grout was literally gone. We used your product almost exclusively since the show as was installed and that is how we know what caused the damage.
My husband just finished regrouting. When we went to purchase new grout, the business we bought from said they recommend people to not use this product, that they have heard our story countless times.
No where on the bottle does it state this could cause damage!
I thought your company was one of the good ones until now.
Monetary Loss: $75.

My wife used Scrubbing Bubbles for years in our tile bath in Florida. Never any damage... maybe you had defective grout!
Your statement: "No where on the bottle does it state this could cause damage!"
It does state on the spray can: "Not recommended for use on acrylic, brass, marble, or natural stone surfaces." And, grout is a form of stone / concrete.
